5 Pedestrians Hit By Car In Northeast Philly Parking Lot, Police Say (Updated)

One woman is in custody after police say she struck five people with her Nissan Sentra in Philadelphia on Monday afternoon, April 22.

Authorities said 45-year-old Omobolanle Paige hit five pedestrians, three of whom were sent to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

It happened at the parking lot of the 6301 Oxford Avenue ShopRite, according to police.

Four people suffered bruises and scratches: 

  • A 57-year-old woman
  • A 45-year-old woman
  • A 76-year-old woman
  • A 29-year-old woman

A 76-year-old man was also hit but was not seriously injured, authorities said. 

Paige has been charged with six counts of attempted homicide, six counts of aggravated assault, five counts of aggravated assault by vehicle, and related counts, according to police.
